Fused and Slumped Glass
Murrini tiles or canes are fused in an oven up to 1,500 degrees before being slumped in a mold. Once cool, various levels of carving, grinding and polishing take place to produce the desired shape and surface texture. Like my blown glass work, the tactile experience is as important to me as the visual.
